If you do, you&amp;rsquo;ll end up burning the outside while the inside stays cold. It&amp;rsquo;s a nightmare. For those of you running Sacmi SBF 24 or Husky HyPET high-speed lines, that&amp;rsquo;s exactly why we build our replacement lamps the way we do. We want that heat to actually soak in.&#xA;Here&amp;rsquo;s the thing about the physics.&#xA;We use shortwave infrared emitters that are tuned &lt;a href=&#34;https://goldisgood.com&#34;&gt;specifically&lt;/a&gt; for PET polymer. By tweaking the tungsten filament and the quartz thickness, we change how the light behaves. Instead of just hitting the surface, the radiation punches through to the core.&#xA;If your lamps aren&amp;rsquo;t dialed in like this, you get &amp;ldquo;skinning.&amp;rdquo; You&amp;rsquo;ve seen it—the outside melts, the inside is still chilly, and you end up with bottles that have weird, uneven walls. Not a good look.&#xA;As for the hardware? It&amp;rsquo;s simple.&#xA;These are drop-in replacements. We make them to the exact same footprint as the OEM units because nobody has time to mess around with alignment issues in the oven. You get the right length and the right connectors—usually R7s or SK15—so you can just plug them in and get back to work. We also use high-purity quartz so the glass doesn&amp;rsquo;t get cloudy and dim over time.&#xA;But there is a trade-off.&#xA;High-wattage lamps throw a ton of energy into the oven. That puts a lot of pressure on your cooling blowers. If your vents are clogged or your fans are struggling, that ambient heat builds up. That&amp;rsquo;s a double whammy: it kills your lamps faster and can cause your preforms to overheat.&#xA;And one last tip: keep your reflectors polished.&#xA;Even the most expensive lamp in the world is useless if your &lt;a href=&#34;https://o-yate.net&#34;&gt;mirrors&lt;/a&gt; are oxidized. If they&amp;rsquo;re dirty, you&amp;rsquo;re just bouncing 30% of your heat back into the oven walls instead of into the plastic. Give them a scrub.
