We’ve found that this simple tweak keeps the contact points from oxidizing, which means your heating element lasts a lot longer. The honest truth about seals Look, no seal lasts forever. IP44 is great for splashes, but these aren’t submarines. If your workflow involves blasting everything with a high-pressure hose, you’ll need something beefier or a separate external shield. Also, keep in mind that constant heat cycles can make gaskets harden over time. I’d suggest giving them a quick check every 12 months. Just make sure nothing has cracked.
