Watch Your Wiring
High-wattage tubes pack a punch. They get your oven up to temp fast and recover quickly after you open the door, but they’re demanding. They put a lot of stress on your sockets and wiring. If you’re swapping out a brand-name tube for one of ours,double-check your connectors. A loose fit is a nightmare. It causes arcing—those little sparks you might see—and that will kill a high-quality tube way faster than actual wear and tear. We keep our tolerances tight so they slide right in and stay snug.
The Real World Stuff
Let’s be honest. No lamp lasts forever. If you run a heater at 100% power for 10 hours straight, it’s going to wear out faster than if you pulsed the heat. That’s just physics. But there’s one thing you can actually control:airflow. Make sure your oven’s ventilation is clear. If heat gets trapped around the ends of the tube, the seals can fail. Keep the air moving, and these tubes will hold their heat and last just as long as those pricey imports.
