Getting the heat right
These lamps are all about shortwave infrared emission. We build them to match the voltage and wattage your Contiform oven expects. The goal? Get that PET preform up to the glass transition temperature as fast as possible. You need that high heat density in a small space to keep the line moving. But here’s a tip: if you’re pushing these lamps to the limit, keep an eye on your ventilation. If your cooling fans are choked with dust, you’re asking for overheated preform walls. Keep them clean.
No warping, no rewiring
We use high-purity quartz glass. Why? Because these things go through a brutal cycle of heating and cooling. Cheap glass warps; ours doesn’t. Plus, the halogen cycle keeps the tube clear of tungsten deposits, so the light stays bright for thousands of hours. And we didn’t mess with the connectors. We use the standard R7s or Sk15 fits. That means they just slide right in. No rewiring your sockets. No hacking at the lamp holders. It’s a tight fit, which is exactly what you want. It stops that electrical arcing that usually kills lamps when the machine is vibrating at full tilt.
