You call the OEM, only to find out the replacement will take three weeks to ship—or they try to charge you three times what the part is actually worth. It’s frustrating. How we make them fit everything
It really comes down to three simple things: the footprint, the electrical load, and the connector. We didn’t try to reinvent the wheel. Instead, we stuck to the industry standards everyone already uses, like R7s and SK15 connectors. This means you don’t have to spend your afternoon rewiring sockets or hacking away at lamp holders just to get a light to turn on. Now, a quick heads-up on power. We offer different wattages depending on which zone of the machine you’re heating. A high-wattage tube is great for getting that preform body hot enough, but keep an eye on your power supply. If you push too many watts into an old circuit, you’re going to trip a breaker or, worse, fry your wiring.
The secret sauce: Quartz and Halogen
We use high-purity quartz glass and halogen gas. Why? Because it stops the filament from evaporating too fast. It simply lasts longer. We also use specific coatings to tune the wavelength. This is the important part: it makes sure the heat actually sinks into the PET wall. You want a deep heat, not a surface scorch that ruins your bottles.
Getting them into the machine
These lamps are built to take a beating. They live in high-temp ovens, so they’re tough. The best part is the swap. You can pop them in during your usual downtime without having to modify the chassis. And since we keep these in stock, you aren’t waiting on a shipment from Europe or Asia.
